Make our plum and pear purée and keep your wee one happy and full all autumn
Foraged fruits are firmly on the seasonal menus of top restaurants and our little ones love them too. Whether you’re lucky enough to have an orchard where you can have fun picking your own fruits together or discover some delicious looking ones at the market – a Plum and Pear purée is a lovely recipe to get all that gorgeous goodness into your little one.
Here’s our favourite way to make it…
We’ve chosen plums and pears for our purée as they look oh so pretty, but you can also mix up the purée with your own choice of seasonal fruits as apples work wonderfully too.
Make the most of lovely soft autumn fruits by:
- Simply stoning, coring and chopping,
- Simmer in a very little amount of water until soft. You can then remove skin from the plums if you wish but we like to keep them on for maximum goodness and flavour.
- Blend until smooth.
- Then serve, mix with your choice of breast or formula milk, baby rice or some nice plain yoghurt.
